Rowan sweater

Rowan Sweater is a cable knit jumper featuring a variety of different cables that create a beautiful and unique texture. It is worked from the top down using one strand of Peruvian Highland Wool from Filcolana and one strand of Tilia from Filcolana on 5 mm needles.

The pattern is thoroughly explained, making it accessible even for those new to knitting cables. The design is unisex and size-inclusive.

The Rowan sweater can be made in sizes a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h) i which correspond to bust measurements of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 cm.

The sweater has a positive ease of approximately 20 cm larger than your bust measurement and gradually decreases as the size increases.

The sweater is made in 1 strand of Perivuan Highland Wool from Filcolana and 1 strand of Tilia from Filcolana.

For the sizes a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h) i you will need 550 (600) 600 (650) 650 (700) 750 (800) 900 grams of Peruvian Highland Wool (50 g = 100 m) corresponding to 11 (12) 12 (13) 13 (14) 15 (16) 18 skeins and 125 (125) 125 (150) 150 (150) 175 (200) 200 grams of Tilia (25 g = 210 m) corresponding to 5 (5) 5 (6) 7 (7) 8 (8) 8 skeins.

Recommended needles

Circular needles 5 mm, 40 and 80 cm.

Circular needles 4,5 mm, 40 and 80 cm for ribbing. 

A cable needle. 

Knitting gauge

The Rowan sweater has a gauge of 10x10 cm on 17 sts x 21 r on 5 mm needles in double moss stitch and 16 sts x 21 r on 5 mm needles in stockinette stitch.
