Finley sweater

Finley sweater is an oversized unisex sweater. The sweater has a relaxed and simple look with 2x2 ribbing. It is worked top-down on 4 mm needles and the 2x2 ribbing is made on 3,5 mm needles.

Pattern overview

The back piece is made first. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders. These are worked separately before they are connected and worked back and forth. Afterwards, the front piece and the back piece are connected and the rest of the body is worked in the round and finished with 2x2 ribbing at the bottom of the sweater. Then, stitches are picked up for the sleeves. They are worked in the round with decreases and finished with 2x2 ribbing. Lastly, 2x2 ribbing is also added to the neckline. 

Size guide

Finley sweater can be made in sizes a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h) which correspond to bust measurements of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) cm.

The sweater has a positive ease of approximately 25 cm larger than your bust measurement and gradually decreases as the size increases.

Yarn

The Finley sweater is made in 1 strand of Hobbii Unicorn Solid (100 g = 400 m) and 1 strand of Hobbii Friends Kid Silk (25 g = 200 m). For the sizes a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h) you will need:

Unicorn solid: 300 (300) 400 (400) 400 (400) 400 (400) grams corresponding to 3 (3) 4 (4) 4 (4) 4 (4) hanks.

Friends Kid Silk: 125 (150) 150 (175) 175 (175) 200 (200) grams corresponding to 5 (6) 6 (7) 7 (7) 8 (8) skeins.

The blue Finley sweater in the picture is made with Hobbii Unicorn Solid color Navy (05) and Friends Kid Silk color Midnight Blue (87). 

Recommended needles 

Circular needles 4 mm, 80 and 40 cm for stockinette stitch.

Circular needles 3,5 mm, 80 and 40 cm for ribbing.

Knitting gauge 

The Finley sweater has a gauge of 10x10 cm on 21 sts x 26 r on 4 mm needles in stockinette stitch.
