Yarn
Which yarn can the patterns be knitted in?
In all patterns, the recommended yarn is listed. This is the yarn the pattern was originally knitted in. However, you are always free to choose a different yarn than the original one. If you do, it’s especially important to knit a gauge swatch to make sure you meet the required gauge.
You can read more about gauge swatches and tension here. As long as you match the gauge, you can knit the pattern in any yarn you like.
There are always plenty of options when it comes to choosing an alternative yarn for a pattern. You can replace one yarn with a similar quality — for example, swapping one mohair yarn for another. You can also choose a completely different yarn type, such as replacing two strands of thin yarn with one strand of a thicker quality.
