Carter hat

The Carter hat is a unisex had made in ribbing with an Italian cast-on and decreases at the top that are incorporated into the rib pattern. The hat is worked in the round on 4mm needles.

You can choose whether to make the hat with or without a folded edge, and the pattern includes both versions. The brown Carter hat in the picture is made with a folded edge. The hat is one size fits all. It is worked in ribbing, making it very stretchy and therefore suitable for many different head sizes.

The hat is one size fits all but can be knitted in 2 versions: without a fold (with a fold). The hat is made in ribbing (knit 1, purl 1) making it very stretchy.

Yarn 

The Carter hat is made with 1 strand of Drops Nepal and 1 strand of Drops Kid-Silk. You will need 100 (100) grams of Drops Nepal (50 grams = 75 meters), corresponding to 2 (2) skeins, and 25 (25) grams of Drops Kid-Silk (25 grams = 210 meters), corresponding to 1 (1) skein. 

The brown Carter hat in the picture is made in Drops Nepal color 0618 Camel and Viking Yarn Kid-Silk color 309 light brown.

Recommended Needles 

Circular needles 4 mm, 40 cm. 

Double-pointed needles or magic loop 4mm.

Knitting gauge 

The Carter hat has a gange of 10x10 cm on 22 stitches x 23 rows on 4 mm needles in ribbing (k 1, p1) without being blocked. Gauge should be measured when the ribbing lies flat and is not stretched.
