Thea slipover

Thea slipover is an oversized and cozy vest with wide stribes in two colors. It is worked top-down on 10 mm needles with 2 strands of Drops Melody, creating a lovely chunky look that feels like wearing a big hug. 

Size guide

This slipover can be made in the sizes a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h) which correspond to bust measurements of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) cm.

The slipover has positive ease of approximately 10-20 cm larger than your bust measurement and gradually decreases as the size increases.

Length: 53 (54) 54 (59) 59 (60) 60 (65) cm (measured at the center back without measuring the neckline)

Yarn 

The vest is made in 2 strands of Drops Melody (50 g = 140 m) in 2 colors. 

The Thea slipover in the picture is made in Drops Melody color 01 Nature (color a) and Drops Melody color 05 Black (color b).

For the sizes a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h) you will need:

Color a: 100 (100) 100 (100) 100 (150) 150 (200) grams of Drops Melody corresponding to 2 (2) 2 (2) 2 (3) 3 (4) skeins

Color b: 100 (150) 150 (150) 150 (200) 200 (250) grams of Drops Melody corresponding to 2 (3) 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 (5) skeins

Since you are knitting with 2 strands, it may be helpful to have an even number of skeins in each color so you can knit with 2 skeins at a time. Therefore you may want to purchase an extra skein if the number of skeins needed for a color is odd. 

Recommended needles

Circular needles 10 mm, 60 cm and optionally also 80 cm, for stockinette stitch

Circular needles 9 mm, 60 cm and optionally also 80 cm for ribbing

Circular needles 8 mm, 60 cm for ribbing

Knitting gauge 

Thea slipover has a gauge of 10x10 cm on 9 sts x 12 r on 10 mm needles in stockinette stitch before washing.
