Vilma hat

The Vilma Beanie is a chunky brioche-knit hat. The hat is worked in the round in brioche stitch on 7 mm needles.

Stitches are cast on using an Italian cast-on, and the hat is finished with neat decreases that blend seamlessly into the brioche pattern.

Size guide 

The Vilma Beanie is one size. Brioche stitch is very elastic, so it will fit most head sizes.

Yarn

The hat is worked in 1 strand of Molly Fine from Mayflower (100 g = 135 m).

For one Vilma hat you will need 200 grams of Molly Fine (100 g = 135 m) corresponding to 2 skeins..

The Vilma hat in the picture is made in Molly Fine colour 02 Henna.

Recommended needles

Circular needles 7 mm, 40 cm 

Magic loop or double pointed needles 7 mm.

Knitting gauge

The pattern has a knitting gauge of 10x10 cm on 12 sts x 23 r on 7 mm needles in brioche stitch.

Gauge must be measured with the work lying flat and without stretching it.
